Start with the one you'd actually say out loud.

Every reckoning is a set of questions for one real situation. Pick the door that's closest to where you are. The rest will still be here.

  • The work I'm in doesn't fit me anymore.

For everything work brings up: the offer you're not sure about, the role you've outgrown, the burnout you can't push through, the question of whether it's still worth it.

  • There's a thing I want to start and I keep not starting it.

An idea that keeps coming back. Whether it's real, whether you're ready, what building actually looks like. These reckonings are for the beginning.

  • I'm building the thing and it's running me instead.

You're in it. Pivots, partnerships, the moments when you have to decide whether to keep going or let go.

  • I keep doing the thing I swore I'd stop doing.

Patterns. What you carry. What you actually want. The internal work that doesn't fit neatly anywhere else.

  • There's a number in my head I can't stop running.

What you earn, what you spend, what you're scared to look at. The questions under the number, before the spreadsheet.

  • I keep ending up in the same place with different people.

Love, family, friendship. What you bring, what you avoid, what you keep repeating with the people closest to you.

  • There's a decision I keep circling and not making.

Something has to change. You don't know which direction yet. For the moment before the decision.

  • Something ended, and I'm figuring out who I am without it.

A breakup, a job, a chapter that closed. For the part after the ending, when you're rebuilding from who you are now.

  • Questions to actually get into it with someone.

Some questions are better worked through with someone else. Built for two: the long drive, the dinner table, or the conversation you keep almost having.
